SOS INDONESIA

A Registered Food Rescue Foundation under the name (Yayasan Derma Atas Pangan) which collects surplus food to feeding the needy. For every 2500 IDR (0.18𝇍 USD) we can provide nutritious meal for people who need it most

W Bali’s team is passionate to partner with SOS on this amazing program. Having worked in many hotels around the world I know firsthand how much waste can come from hosting large events. Having someone come collect the delicious food that we cannot resell and donate it to charities to feed locals in need is touching. I am proud to see the food leaving the hotel for a good cause. I hope everyone can take this program and integrate it in their own cities around the world to end hunger.

Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS) Indonesia, or locally registered as Yayasan Derma Atas Pangan, is a non-profit food rescue operation that collects surplus food from food businesses such as hotels and restaurants around "Bali" with over 60 daily food donors. Since the beginning, we have redistributed over 1 million meals to communities in need!!

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, almost overnight most businesses, particularly in the tourist areas completely closed. 80% were in hospitality and rely heavily on tourism. People employed in F&B business, hospitality, transportation, including traditional markets have lost their jobs. For those reasons, SOS launched Bali Strong Program.

Bali Strong is a call for Bali, National, and International communities to donate and help SOS in providing nutritious meals to our beneficiaries and communities affected by COVID-19. Support us to make BALI STRONG!

We at Scholars of Sustenance are able to provide beautiful nutrition at such a low cost due to infrastructures we put in place with our partners in quick, efficient and environmentally friendly pickups.

About Scholars of Sustenance Foundation..

SOS Global was established in late 2012 and then funded privately. The food rescue charter was approved in 2014 when our non-profit status was established and local foundation paperwork was filed in Thailand. By 2015, our Thai foundation was pioneering these principles in Bangkok and in 2016 we established SOS Indonesia.

Here at Scholars of Sustenance, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2000, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit upon: support, empowerment, and progress. Learn more about our mission, our vision, and how we go about making the changes we want to see.
